■What is the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)?
UNGC is the world's largest corporate sustainability initiative, in which the United Nations and the private sector (companies and organizations) work together to build the healthy global society. The UNGC is a global framework for achieving sustainable growth by demonstrating responsible and creative leadership and acting as good members of society. The companies and organizations that have signed the UNGC are required to adhere to and practice the Ten Principles related to human rights, labor, the environment, and anti-corruption. In line with the commitment of top management of companies and organizations, they are asked to continually work to implement those principles.
